America; In the early 1600s England was a difficult place to live if you were not a gentleman's first born son. Feudalism was finished and the ranks of the poor and homeless were growing. First sons inherited their father's land. Many of the gentlemen who came to Jamestown were men with one or more older brothers hoping for a chance at a better life. They hoped to find gold and return to England rich men. Some wanted to

a) explaining the roles of explorers and conquistadors;
b) describing the influence of religion;

d) defining the Columbian Exchange;
e) explaining the triangular trade;
f) describing the impact of precious metal exports from the Americas.
